MILO RENTAK AKTIF GAYA HIDUP NORMA BAHARU

Siapa sangka kan dalam kita menuju abad ke 21, rakyat seluruh dunia terpaksa hidup dalam norma baharu hanya gara-gara wabak koronovirus yang lebih mudah disebut COVID-19. 


Alah bisa tegal biasa. Agar serasi dengan rentak kehidupan norma baharu itu, pelbagai penyesuaian perlu kita hadapi  untuk memastikan kebiasaan terdahulu dapat diteruskan. 


Dalam meneruskan usahanya membudayakan gaya hidup aktif, MILO melangkah jauh lagi dengan mempersembahkan MILO Rentak Aktif sebagai pemudah cara rakyat kekal aktif dalam norma baharu.


Program gaya hidup aktif terbaharu dalam talian yang pertama seumpamanya di bawah gerakan MILO Aktif Negaraku ini bertujuan untuk memupuk kebaikan gaya hidup aktif dengan cara yang paling asas dan mudah untuk semua, iaitu melalui senam aerobik.


Dilancarkan pada 15 Ogos lalu secara penstriman langsung menerusi saluran Youtube MILO Malaysia, MILO Rentak Aktif mengajak penonton bergerak aktif mengikut koreografi mudah yang sesuai diikuti seisi keluarga dari semua peringkat usia yang dipimpin oleh empat jurulatih kecergasan.


Menurut Ahmad Fadhly Shah, Pembantu Pengurus Pemasaran Sukan MILO, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad, selaku peneraju pembangunan sukan akar umbi dan gaya hidup aktif di Malaysia, pihaknya amat teruja dan berbangga dengan sambutan rakyat yang amat menggalakkan.


MILO Rentak Aktif telah menarik lebih 250,000 tontonan di saluran Youtube MILO Malaysia. Malah, angka itu dijangka semakin meningkat kerana mereka yang tidak berkesempatan sebelum ini masih boleh mengikuti semula mana-mana sesi pilihan pada bila-bila masa sahaja, terutamanya sekarang sedang kita semakin berwaspada menjaga keselamatan dan penjarakan sosial antara satu sama lain.” 


Tambah beliau, “Kami komited untuk memperkenalkan inovasi gaya hidup aktif baharu serta menyuntik semangat rakyat untuk kekal aktif, lebih-lebih lagi ketika berhadapan dengan cabaran situasi semasa.”


MILO Rentak Aktif diilhamkan melalui aktiviti senam aerobik yang popular ketika Hari Sarapan Malaysia MILO sejak beberapa tahun yang lalu. Koreografinya pula dipadankan dengan bait-bait lirik lagu tema kempen Aktif Negaraku nyanyian Jaclyn Victor.

Lebih istimewa, setiap sesi turut menampilkan selebriti serta personaliti jemputan khas seperti Anas Tahir, Hasnida Hanim, Azim Wahab, Izzat Zin, Nadia Heng dan Radin ERA serta ratu gimnastik kebangsaan Izzah Amzan.


Sesi kelima yang juga merupakan kemuncak MILO Rentak Aktif telah berlangsung pada 10 Oktober lalu dengan penampilan khas Jaclyn Victor, selaku teraju utama kempen MILO Aktif Negaraku tahun ini. Beliau disertai rakan-rakan selebriti lain seperti Fahrin Ahmad, Aina Abdul dan Mei Yan.


Ya...MILO meneruskan kempen MILO Aktif Negaraku tahun ini dengan fokus untuk membangkitkan semangat aktif dalam diri rakyat Malaysia.


Terdapat pelbagai program sukan dan kecergasan di bawah gerakan MILO Aktif Negaraku sebelum ini seperti MILO Hidup Bola, MILO Champions Clinic dan MILO Activ Jam Senam Aerobik

Kempen ini kemudiannya diberikan suntikan nafas baru bersesuaian dengan norma baharu melalui pelancaran MILO Rentak Aktif. Ini bagi memastikan setiap program mempunyai kelainan serta menepati minat segenap lapisan masyarakat.

NEELOFA-GIUSEPPI ZANOTTI COLLABORATES 
Giuseppe Zanotti together with Neelofa, celebrated the official launch of the exclusive collection designed by the leading fashion Italian designer for the Malaysian fashion icon, at its boutique in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. 

The highly anticipated private event, hosted by Neelofa and Sharan Valiram, Executive Director of Valiram, the brand’s retail partner in Malaysia, was attended by the media, celebrities and the brand’s many friends including Nora Danish, Elfira Loy, Jihan Muse and Jasmine Suraya Chin. 

An entrepreneur and a style and fashion icon, it is no surprise that the signature style from the Giuseppe Zanotti collection, The Liza, was picked by Neelofa to be reimagined together with Mr Zanotti. It is her favourite style from the brand. 
Two exclusive designs were launched. The “Dazzling Liza for Neelofa” has been reimagined in light blue suede encrusted with iridescent crystals that exude a touch of feminine confidence while the “Mirror Liza for Neelofa” is wrapped in a silver/rose gold metallic leather, striking a bold finish. 


This is the first time Mr Zanotti has collaborated exclusively with a South East Asian celebrity – creating a limited collection that reflects her style and taste. 
“We are honoured that Mr Zanotti has found it fit to work with a South East Asian personality. Neelofa embodies grit and grace and her sharp sense of entrepreneurship has put her in the Forbes 30 under 30 in Asia,” said Sharan Valiram, Executive Director of Valiram (right). With him is the Regional Commercial  Director, Anne Leung (left).


Mr Zanotti and Neelofa met in Paris in June to discuss the finer details of the creation. It was their second meet up after she made an appearance at Giuseppe Zanotti Fall Winter 2019 collection presentation in Milan in February. In September, the pair met again when Neelofa attended the Women’s Spring Summer 2020 collection presentation in Milan again. 

“I still can’t believe that my first encounter with Mr Zanotti has led to this moment. It still feels surreal to be given the opportunity for this collaboration – to have him redesign the iconic Liza pump with my style and personality incorporated into it. I am indeed on cloud nine now,” said Neelofa at the launch. 
These limited edition styles inspired by Neelofa’s unique style and forward- thinking fashion attitude, are now available exclusively at the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur boutique and retail for RM9,790 and RM3,890 respectively.

AVENUE K UNVEILS 'STORIES' - ART, FASHION & CAFE

Avenue K Shopping Mall (AK) recently became a fashion runway  for Malaysia's youn fashion ambassadors in conjunction with the launch of its latest store, Stories.

A first ever initiative spearheaded by AK , Stories is situated at the Mezzanine Floor with a tale of Fashion. Art. Café.

PUMA @KLCC SHOWCASED LATEST TRENDS

Global sports brand PUMA is continuing to further establish its strong showing in Malaysia, with the launch of the newly refurbished flagship store in Suria KLCC.

MYDIN LANCAR LAGU RAYA

Seperti kebiasaannya setiap tahun sempena Ramadan dan Syawal, gedung yang popular di kalangan warga kota, MYDIN tidak ketinggalan menjalankan kempen jualan pelbagai produknya.

Idea lagu raya untuk pasaraya MYDIN mula dibincangkan dengan pihak FMC sejak dua bulan lalu, kata Dr Ameer sambil menyifatkan kerjasama dengan artis-artis muda mendapat sokongan padu.

Amir berkata demikian pada majlis pelancaran lagu itu di MYDIN  USJ, Subang Jaya, baru-baru ini.

Majlis pelancaran yang dimeriahkan dengan kehadiran pelanggan MYDIN turut memperagakan dua koleksi baju raya terbaharu untuk lelaki dan perempuan yang dinamakan Mikhail serta Mikayla yang dijual dari harga RM59.

REZEKI PERKAHWINAN FATTZURA BERSAMA MAYBANK
Inilah yang dikatakan rezeki pengantin baharu!
Pasangan popular yang masih dalam mood 'berbulan madu' kata orang, Fattah Amin dan Fazura  memperoleh rezeki pertama secara bersama apabila keduanya mendapat perhatian syarikat kewangan terbesar, Maybank Banking Bhd (Maybank) untuk menjadi duta kad debit Maybank.
Pelantikan mereka dikatakan bertepatan dengan matlamat Maybank untuk menarik golongan muda atau Gen-Y memiliki kad debit khususnya yang berusia dalam lingkungan antara 21 tahun hingga 40 tahun.
Majlis pelantikan rasmi pasangan selebriti yang lebih dikenali dengan gabungan nama Fattzura ini berlangsung dalam suasana meriah di Menara Maybank Kuala Lumpur baru-baru ini.
Dalam sidang akhbar yang berlangsung, Ketua Bahagian Kad, Kumpulan Perkhidmatan Kewangan Komuniti (CFS) Kumpulan Maybank,  B Ravintharan berkata, mereka menjalin kerjasama selama setahun bersama pasangan ini dengan matlamat meningkatkan penggunaan transaksi tanpa tunai dalam kalangan orang muda yang semakin berkurangan sekarang.
“Pada 2017, kami menyaksikan peningkatan ketara dalam jumlah transaksi kad debit sebanyak 57 peratus dengan mencatatkan lebih 65 juta transaksi bernilai lebih RM17 bilion tahun ini berbanding tahun lalu iaitu RM11 bilion.
“Sebanyak 62 peratus bil debit kami datang daripada segmen profesional muda. Produk kad debit kami sudah berkembang menjadi lapan variasi produk yang berbeza dengan lebih sembilan juta pemegang kad debit yang aktif,” tambahnya. 
Sempena pelantikan tersebut, Maybank turut melancarkan kempen penggunaan kad debit selama tiga bulan sehingga 15 Mei depan menawarkan pakej percutian bersama Fattzura kepada lima pasangan bertuah.
Kempen berkenaan terbuka kepada pemegang kad debit Maybank di mana mereka perlu berbelanja menggunakan kad debit Maybank dengan minima RM250 dalam satu resit.
“Maybank yakin pasangan artis popular ini akan dapat membantu untuk lebih menggalakkan golongan Gen-Y menggunakan kad debit di negara ini,” jelas Ravintharan.



Sementara itu, Fazura berkata, perbincangan untuk mereka terbabit sebagai duta jenama rasmi kad debit Maybank berlaku penghujung tahun lalu.
“Kami bersetuju menerimanya apabila melihat kesan positif pada masyarakat. Ia memudahkan pengguna membuat pembelian tanpa pengeluaran wang tunai yang banyak dan lebih selamat.
“Saya menggalakkan golongan muda menggunakan kad debit Maybank memandangkan ia lebih mudah untuk membuat transaksi atau pembelian tanpa perlu membawa wang tunai banyak dalam bag,” katanya.
Menurut Fattah, walau pun ini merupakan pembabitan pertama mereka bersama dalam program rasmi pada tahun 2018 namun mereka tidak mahu pula terlalu kerap dilihat bersama  kerana bimbang peminat akan bosan.
“Setakat ini tiada tawaran lain termasuk untuk berlakon bersama," ujar Fattah.
“Mungkin kami akan selektif kerana Fazura ada projek dan produk sendiri, manakala saya juga ada perniagaan jenama sendiri yang perlu diutamakan,” katanya.
Turut hadir pada majlis ini ialah Ketua Perkhidmatan Kewangan Komuniti Maybank Malaysia Datuk Hamirullah Boorhan dan Ketua Kad Maybank Malaysia dan Singapura Karen Low

Pada tahun lalu. Maybank menyaksikan kadar kenaikan dalam urusan transaksi kad debit dengan catatan lebih kurang  65 juta transaksi bernilai RM1 bilion direkodkan.

Dan untuk tahun ini, Maybank mensasarkan  peningkatan transaksi menggunakan kad debit mampu mencapai sebanyak 100 juta bernilai RM17 bilion. iaitu 57%  kenaikan berbanding tahun terdahulunya.

The movement is an in-house The Electricianz module designed on a Miyota 2033 base that runs on a 1X Flat cell 1225 CR battery. Each watch has a 45mm case with a hardened mineral K1 Glass that is water-resistant to 30 metres. Its pusher activates a 4X LED white light function to tell you the time in style at night.


The Dresscode possesses a traditional elegance—with its black calfskin leather strap and PVD gold pusher and crown—injected with THE ELECTRICIANZ’s urban and modern style. Being the first of all ELECTRICIANZ, it is the brand’s timeless must-have. MY SKETCHBOOK SHAWL BY EMMA MAEMBONG EKSKLUSIF

Dia dilahirkan berdarah seni. Jadi tidak hairanlah jika dilihat gaya hidup atau ‘lifestyle’ nya berlingkung pada dunia senia samada seni lakonan seni lukisan atau apa sahaja yang mewarisi bakat keluarga seninya.

Orang yang Kak Fas maksudkan itu tidak lain adalah pelakon manis Emma Maembong… bakat seni lukis yang diwarisi daripada ayahnya, seorang pelukis, Ismael Embong terus diasah walau pun sebuk dengan dunia lakonan.

Ko orang percaya tak jika Emma mempunyai lebih daripada 500 buah buku sketchbook yang memaparkan hasil seni lukisannya  sejak  masih kecil lagi.

Ya… jika dibiarkan sahaja lukisan itu sudah tentu bazir namanya kan? Jadi memang tepatlah penat lelahnya itu dihargai ramai khususnya peminatnya.

Itulah sebenarnya yang menjadi pencetus untuk pemilik nama sebenar, Fatimah Rohani Ismail, 25, ketika melahirkan pengeluaran tudung terbaharunya, My Sketchbook Shawl By Emma Maembong, yang  memperkenalkan empat koleksi baru iaitu Budaya, Hibisco, Bumi Kita dan Seashell.

For cosmetics range, Kak Fas would normally look up for lipstick first. This is one item that is a must in my handbag as will not leave home without it haha…

UP CLOSE & PERSONAL WITH 'HEARTS ON FIRE' DESIGNER, ILARIA

It had been few years since Kak Fas  was introduced to the amazing collections of  'Hearts On Fire', that is every time attending Habib Diamond Fest campaign.



And again  this year is another year when HABIB showcased its latest collections but this time around it is the first time Kak Fas was able to get close and personal with its Director of Design, Italian born Ilaria Lanzoni who flew in from the Big Apple City - New York.

When spoke to her and questioned on where she gets her inspiration in designing beautiful collections?

Here is what she said: " Its from my personal experiences around the world. Whenever i looked at nature, architecture of cities, fashion trends and the surroundings.... all of these elements ignite me to create Hearts on Fire design," said Ilaria.who had more than 20 years experience of design expertise.



Some of her designs  that are adorned  and draws inspiration to all women are pieces such as the Copley Collection, Illa Collections, Aerial Collections, Lorelei Collection and Triplicity Collections... all of which used the World's Most Perfectly Cut Diamond.




The Copley Collection is full of bold, metal intensive designs insprired by the historic architecture of Boston. The Illa Collection features beautiful stars and constellation themes. The Aerial Collection draws inspiration from the delicate shapes of nature. The Lorelei Collection is a soft and feminine reflection of lace and other traditional designs elements. And the Triplicity Collection is an edgy, yet timeless approach to fashion forward diamond jewelry designs based on New York City’s architecture.



To her achievement Ilaria was honoured with a prestigious award for Best Design in Haute Couture at the 2015 Couture Show in Las Vegas for her design of the  Serafina necklace.

Wow! that is true to what she mentioned as she travels the world... every creation is inspired to what she experience and see.... awesome... wished had that creativity as hers but well am not good in drawing or creative enough to win that lovely Lorelei Bow Bracelet that was offered as winner for the best jewellery designed which  happened during the exclusive mini preview of 'Hearts on Fire' at Habib Diamond Fest 2017 held at Suria KLCC recently.




The ignite inspiration event saw few selected designers from different fields of design to 
compete in a jewellery design contest of 20 minutes. But then my blogger friend, Miera Nadhirah  who as she said in her blog "Being thick faced/shameless at times, I asked if I could join, since I saw another blogger friend beginning to sketch, and I did not actually see who the people around me- they are actually very renowned local Malaysian fashion designers..… hah.. me.. a nobody trying to design a jewelry, David against Goliath… and was given a pencil and an art paper.. So I got down to sketching ....."


And guess what .... Miera won that Lorelei Bow Bracelet which was valued at about RM3,500...she beats all other professional designers.... well as the Malay says it... "rezeki Miera"...

Anyway earlier the event saw Ilaria briefing on the collectons - Hearts On Fire that was worn by 2 beautiful models and why it was branded as 'World's Most Perfectly Cut Diamond'.

As you may know, 'Hearts on Fire' diamond as mentioned in their official site...."boast a perfect ring of eight hearts on the bottom and a perfectly formed, symmetrical Fireburst® on the top that will outshine any other diamond. As a result, a Hearts On Fire diamond displays a perfection you can actually see. A perfection that still stands alone today.


"As light enters the diamond, it descends downward into the pavillion. A standard diamond with an inferior cut leaks light from the bottom and sides. KLgites and fashionistas would surely know where to head on to for the most luxury brand retail shopping centre?

Where else could it be if not at the Starhill Gallery situated in the heart of the Golden Triangle / Bukit Bintang…. where most of netizens around the globe do their shopping spree. What’s more its sandwich between to prestigious name  hotel – JW Marriot Kuala Lumpur by a “time tunnel” link bridge to the right and the Ritz Carlton, Kuala Lumpur.

The mall is connected to the JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur by a "Time Tunnel".[2]The link bridge also connects to the Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur.

Kak Fas  was one of the invited members of the media who got to attend the spectacular and glamorous launch in Bukit Bintang’s ultimate luxury fashion and lifestyle retail destination, the Starhill Gallery…
And this year for the seventh time, Starhill Gallery Fashion Week took to stage their exclusive seven designer labels namely Valentino, iKartini, Keno, McQ Alexander McQueen, M Missoni, Debenhams and Mita Tam Style Studio.

For four consecutive days beginning 12 April until 15th April 2017, those leading names in the International and Malaysian  fashion industries will feature their Spring-Summer Collections 2017 amidst an abundance of glitz and glamour especially during the opening party.


The runway show kicks off with Kenzo’s menswear and womenswear portraying garments characterizing expression of freedom through its collections of ponchos, parkas, military jackets, blouses and dresses. Kenzo’s design  were deconstructed into feather-light and voluminous silhouettes and  technical taffetas with metal snaps and drawstrings.. giving it an  industrial feel…

Follow suit is another designer’s collection by M.Missoni themed “Glitter Glam”, taking the upbeat and feminine women as its inspiration to create designs of vivid colours and bold lines along graphism, modern art to the hippie folk movement of free and youthful spirit.


McQ Alexander McQueen on the other hand showcased  a 90s intepretation of the 70s in its Spring/Summer collection with musing pop culture’s infamous icons of  David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Lydia Lunch. McQ  translated that era and muses into garments of easy silhouettes, contrasting fabrics and jarring provocation colours.



The runway continued non stop with the Italian fashion mammoth, Valentino. For its Spring/Summer Collections this year, Valentino’s design was inspired by the renaissance painting of Hieronymus Bosch and British designer Zandra Rhodes’s lively prints.



Their creation evokes historic Venetian textiles while quirky prints were designed on ethereal soft dresses, shirts, and smart trenches for modern daywear emphasising on appliques and movement of fabrics for a sense of sophistication and grace to the wearer.

This fast paced fashion show continued with four colections from Malaysian designer, Kartini Illias who specialized on  hand drawn batik pieces to traditional and contemporary design captivating Malaysia culture in her creation named 'ikartini:



As she was seated beside me, Kartini explained that her Spring-Summer Collections  themed ‘Break Free’ highlighted batik as an art of creating light patterns as well as colourful floral dresses for both casual and formal occasion. I love the long white caftan  like design which  is valued about RM3k.  Kartini had all her collections tailored within a period of two weeks. Wow! that was fast and creative.


The evening continued with another eye catching designers label from Mita Tam Style Studio with gowns suited for weddings or formal wear. Every eye’s were enchanted by the bright colours and awesome design, a match for princesses.


From Malaysia soil comes the British brand, Debenhams with their Spring Summer 2017 collections of simple yet beautiful pieces. 


And the finale for the evening ended with 20 gorgeous designs created by the award winning fashion designer, Alvin Fernandez.



Under his Australian luxe-lable ae’lkemi (pronounced alchemy), Alvin showcased his ready-to-wear and Couture collections along its theme ‘turning a raw material into something precious’.




Precious indeed was what we saw when his ae’lkemi collections and if you too want to witness it then do visit Starhill Gallery as the ae’lkemi Signature Store will be opened at Adorn Floor until 10 May 2017. Among the invited guest were Dato Prof Dr. Jimmy Choo.

And unique indeed was how HABIB capture people’s attention by launching its fest with an eye catching  showcased of its latest collections lead by the ‘star’ of Malaysian beauty which is no other than the crowned Miss Malaysia World 2007, Deborah Priya Henry.


Her  entrance on stage stands out uniquely as this elegant slim 1.78 m tall figure comes out with her hair style bind with over a million pieces of glittering diamond charming the crowd with her beauty and elegance as she grace the runway. The hair design was definitely superb, representing her unique personality.

As unigue as her styling, HABIB’S aim through its month long diamond fest campaign through out the nation is to capture people’s unique personalities, akin to the different characteristics of diamonds.

“This campaign hopes to remind people of the own uniqueness and we encourage you to embrace this by celebrating with a diamond as diamonds are unique like you,” said Managing Director Habib Jewels Sdn Bhd and Diamond Fest founder, Datuk Seri Meer Sadik Habib.



Habib has always perceived its market to have a sense of uniqueness which should be cherished and thus inspired the brand to produce diamond jewellery that will give its customer’s a ‘starlight experience’, Meer  explained.

However, the launch campaign held at the concourse of Suria KLCC Centre court will only run from 30th March till 9th of April.

In fact, on 7th April,  Ilaria Lanzoni will be making an exclusive appearance from 3 pm to 5pm where she will be giving a talk about styling while sharing her journey and inspiration on creating the brand’s six collections including Atlantico, Lorelei, Illa, Copley, Aerial and Triplicity, which will also be showcased at the fest.

The crowd was overwhelming. They waited patiently for hours just to get a glimpse of the popular Korean artis who recently got married to the famous actor and singer,Rain (Hung Ji-Hoon.

AIFW2017: FESYEN ISLAMIK ASIA PERTAMA 30 MAC

"Jangan berpakaian menonjol ke hadapan dan membonjol di belakang, pakai longgar-longgar sikit."

Begitu antara kata-kata gurauan tetapi membawa mesej bermakna diluahkan oleh Menteri Wilayah Persekutuan, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan bin Tengku Mansor pada majlis pelancaran AIFW2017 (Asia Islamic Fashion Week 2017) baru-baru ini.

Dan sesungguhnya kata-kata itu memang tepat diluahkan pada majlis kegimilangan fesyen islamik yang pertama kalinya akan berlangsung di Malaysia bermula 30 Mac 2017 ini hingga 2 April 2017.

Mengangkat inspirasi warna-warni dunia fesyen Islamik dan sebagai usaha mengembangkan lagi industri tersebut, AIFW merupakan acara dagangan yang direka khusus untuk mempersembahkan gabungan kesantunan fesyen dengan gaya terkini yang tidak lari daripada konteks Islamik.




AIFW akan berlangsung di Pusat Konvensyen Kuala Lumpur (KLCC) yang berprestij selama (4) empat hari dari jam 10 pagi hingga 8 malam setiap hari, untuk semua pihak mendekati dan memiliki trend mutakhir dalam persalinan busana, aksesori, kosmetik dan sumber yang berinspirasi Islam.

'RISE TO OPULENCE', VIEW THE LARGEST PHOENIX REPLICA @ PAVILION KL 

As Chinese New Year draws near.... Kak Fas too had been very busy these few weeks going in and out of KL's popular and known shopping malls. But no... dont get me wrong... its not a shopping spree for me  mind you.... just 'window' shopping haha...

In fact, within a period of one week, Kak Fas had entered three shopping malls - all of which were invitation to witness each mall's Chinese New Year decorations. From Avenue K to Sungei Wang Plaza and recently to the most prestigious Pavilion KL, Kak Fas was amazed at all of the decorations created.

Readers may have read  in this blog what had been posted earlier on the nostalgic chinatown concept by Avenue K (story below) while Sungei Wang Plaza calls in all their shoppers to feel the abundance and prosperity bestowed on them.

And interestingly too, the last shopping mall which is the Pavilion KL had something more great to offer being Malaysia's premier shopping destination besides Suria KLCC.


What amazed yours truly most was the Malaysia's Largest Phoenix Replica at the mall's iconic Centre Court, hanging right up to the ceiling, much to the themed, "The Rise to Opulence",  a breathtakingly abundant celebration of record-setting proportions in conjunction with the Lunar Year of the Rooster.

Promoting the notion that one’s hard work, passion and blessings will give rise to receiving opulence, Pavilion KL’s grand decorations for the  Chinese New Year portray the humble Rooster transforming into a Majestic Phoenix, rising high into the sky, full of pride and beauty. 

Take a walk under the Majestic Phoenix at the Centre Court and be bestowed with opulence and good fortune. That was the message that the Pavilion management wants to throw to all shoppers thats looking to attract good fortune this year.


The much-awaited celebration was attended by Guest of Honour, YB Datuk Seri Utama Tengku Adnan bin Tengku Mansor, Minister of Federal Territories, Puan Sri Cindy Lim, Executive Chairman of Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd, Datuk Lee Tuck Fook, Executive Director of Pavilion REIT and Dato’ Joyce Yap, CEO of Retail, Pavilion KL.

Guests were then treated to a powerful drum performance by award-winning local percussion group ‘Orang Orang’ Drum Theatre of which the Minister himself was invited to hit the drum.

And to the delight of the crowd, the robust beating of the drums awakened  and 'Enters the Dragon',  an 88 foot long magnificent Dragon  descending  from the mall’s Spanish Steps towards the centre stage.



Pavilion KL’s “The Rise to Opulence” launch concluded with a thrilling acrobatic lion dance performance by World Champion Lion Dance Troupe Kun Seng Keng who electrified the crowd with an energetic rendition of their award winning act at the mall’s Bukit Bintang Entrance.

CELEBRATES NOSTALGIC MOMENTS AT AVENUE K, GET REWARDED

SEPANJANG KENANGAN HABIB 30 TAHUN

Di sini bermulanya 30 tahun lalu…. Eh teringat pula bait-bait lagu ‘Mulanya Di Sini’ nyanyian Kumpulan Freedom.

Anyway apa yang Kak Fas ingin bicarakan adalah perihal kunjungan Kak Fas ke butik pameran barang kemas HABIB JEWELS di Semua House, kawasan Masjid India baru-baru ini.

Sebenarnya, Kak Fas hampir terlupa mengenai majlis meraikan ulang tahun HABIB yang ke 30 berlangsung pada 27 November 2017, bersamaan Hari Ahad. Maklumlah selalunya Hari Ahad jarang ada acara itu yang terlepas pandang tetapi nasib baik rakan blogger, Misz Ella ingatkan. Kak Fas dah lama bersetuju mahu meraikan hari istemewa HABIB itu bersama Ella. Thanks Ella for reminding….



Dan sejujurnya, sebaik melangkah masuk ke Kompleks Semua House di mana terletaknya showroom HABIB (dulu Habib Jewels), ingatan Kak Fas mengimbau kembali pada pertemuan pertama Kak Fas bersama CEOnya, Datuk Seri Meer Sadik Habib, yang dulu hanya dikenali sebagai Meer sahaja di kalanan teman-teman rapat.

Itu sebab Kak Fas mulakan penulisan Kak Fas tadi dengan ayat ‘di sini bermulanya…”
Yes you are right… di sinilah pertemuan pertama Kak Fas dengan Meer di mana sewaktu itu Kak Fas membuat temu janji untuk menulis personaliti Meer dalam Majalah WANITA, keluaran Utusan Melayu.

Sebelum bertemua Meer pun, Kak Fas dah banyak kali berurusan dengan pihak Habib untuk menulis mengenai barang kemasnya dan Kak Fas juga berterima kasih kerana Habib juga waktu itu sering bekerjasama memberikan hadiah untuk pembaca majalah WANITA dalam ruangan yang Kak Fas kendalikan iaitu ‘Wanita & Perhiasan’


Perhiasan barang kemas HABIB memang cantik, unik dan terserlah… Kak Fas pun terpukau sehingga ‘terpaksa’ membeli gelang tangan emas  yang off course tentulah Kak Fas mendapat diskaun menarik dari tuanpunya diri…Ribuan-ribuan ringgit juga lah terbang huhu….

Dan sempena sambutan ulang tahun ke 30 yang baharu lalu, Kak Fas pun turut bersama rasa gembira meraikannya waima kenangan lampau yang begitu dekat dengan Habib. 

Pendekata, dari zaman bujang hingga kepada hari perkahwinan Meer dengan isterinya kini, Datin Seri Zarida, Kak Fas menulis mengenai mereka.



Jadi Kak Fas dah al maklum dengan personaliti dan latar belakang Meer sebelum dan selepas beliau berkahwin dengan Zarida… malah hiasan rumahnya di kawasan Damansara pun Kak Fas keluarkan dalam majalah WANITA.

Semasa ucapan Meer yang secara jujur mengatakan beliau seorang yang agak ‘kedekut’ dulu (Kak Fas tak ingatkan bahasa Cina yang  digunakan), Kak Fas hanya mampu tersenyum

Ada sedikit kebenarannya…. kerana Kak Fas pernah mencadangkan Habib Jewels berkembang melalui beberapa promosi melibatkan artis dan sebagainya. Tetapi ketika itu, Meer seperti kurang setuju sebab masalah ‘kedekut’ tadilah.. hihi … jangan marah Meer.

Tetapi ternyata keadaan dan zaman teknologi memaksanya mengubah strategi…dan apa yang pernah Kak Fas cadangkan dahulu menjadi realiti… 



BERSAMA Datin Seri Zarida dan rakan Misz Ella.

Kini HABIB bukan sahaja dikenali pelusok tanah air malah mula mendapat perhatian dunia apatah lagi telah berkolabrasi dengan jenama berlian  antarabangsa seperti ‘Hearts on Fire’ dari Amerika Syarikat begitu juga PANDORA dari Denmark mahu pun terbaharu ICE WATCH, jenama jam tangan trendy dan mewah dari Belgium.

“Harapan saya mahu HABIB menjadi jenama terkenal di seluruh dunia,” ujar Datuk Seri Meer Habib penuh yakin ketika mengembalikan kisah sejarah penubuhan Habib yang beribu pejabat di Pulau Pinang dalam tahun 1958  hingga membawa ke  Kuala Lumpur pada tahun 1986.

Dari cawangan pertama di Semua House dengan kakitangan seramai lapan orang sahaja, HABIB kini boleh tersenyum lebar dengan 31 cawangan di seluruh Negara.

“Isteri saya sekarang ini dahulu adalah pelanggan saya… saya nampak dia dan terus tergerak hati untuk berkenalan,” Meer mendedahkan jodoh pertemuannya sambil menjeling manja ke arah isteri tersayang yang katanya kelihatan semakin cantik dan anggun kini daripada dahulu huhu….

Kan wajah kita ni semakin tua semakin cantik kan?  Meer pun nampak lebih segak sekarang daripada rupanya ketika bujang dulu cuma dah ketiadaan rambut je lah haha….tetapi tetap ‘ancem’ dulu dan sekarang… macam Shah Rukh Khan pulak huhuhu….

Majlis pada petang tu turut diserikan dengan pertunjukan fesyen barang kemas HABIB termasuk koleksi ‘House of Fire’ dan Oro Italia 916.

GO JAPANESE WITH ISETAN JAPAN STORE LOT 10

Formally, it was known as ISETAN Lot 10 Store, but now if you pass Bukit Bintang area, opposite the ever popular Sungei Wang Shopping Centre, to the right hand side of the one way parallel two sided road, stands  ISETAN  The Japan Store.

The name Japan Store speaks for itself. No doubt about it, this newly opened departmental store offers Japanese specialty goods and aesthetical products from more than 200 Japanese brands.

Besides that, hair salon 76Style also collaborate with uka to offer a beauty, hair and nail salon plus a Ukafe that emphasis on clean-eating.



On the opening of this Japan store, Isetan Mitsukoshi Overseas Merchandising (Policy) Division General Manager Hajime Nakagawa said the company was optimistic the store would do well in Malaysia considering the country's growing economy and population.


"Besides local people, we are also targeting tourists visiting the country," he said  at the store launch recently.

Nakagawa said the company aimed to deliver the 'real Japan' high-end items to its customers in Malaysia,  given the growing interest in Japanese culture in this part of the world.

Isetan Mitsukoshi is planning to strengthen its overseas operations by opening new stores and renovating existing ones. It will invest up to ¥20 billion over three years through fiscal 2018 and aims to increase its overseas operating income by ¥2 billion in fiscal 2018 compared with that of fiscal 2015.

The company sees the opening of the new store as a critical pillar for the future. It will examine whether it will be useful to establish similar facilities in other Asian countries.
Meanwhile, Hiroshi Onishi, president and CEO of Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings, says customers visiting the new Kuala Lumpur establishment will see the top-quality Japanese items.

KEVIN MAGNUSSEN MEET FANS AT BELL & ROSS

Rally with Bell & Ross this September as the French luxury timepiece brand joins forces with the Renault Sport Formula One Team over their mutual passion for mechanics, speed and precision on a shared quest: the race against time.

In celebration of the upcoming Malaysian Grand Prix, Bell & Ross together with Cortina Watch launched a Lifestyle Pop-up Store from 1 to 30 September 2016 at Level 1, Suria KLCC showcasing a range of core collection watches, including pieces unveiled at the international watch and jewellery industry show BaselWorld 2016.

VERSACE: AN ESSENCE THAT DEFINES MASCULINITY

'SOUFFLE DE VELVET' 8 COLOR ENRICHED


It was a fun day when yours truly joined the launch of the latest colours of Bourjois rounge edition namely Souffle de Velvet with sheer matte effect.

Actually its been some time since Kak Fas had joined beauty events of which the last was Physician Formula which was also brought and invited by Watson.

But this time, the invite is to review all lipstick, nothing more than lipstick.
Wow! At first sight Kak Fas had fallen In love with the packaging and the eight new colours provided by Bourjois.



But most of all, the setting done at Mad About Coco restaurant at Farenheit 88 compliment the exciting launch and introduction of ‘Souffle de Velvet’ by Bourjois.

Honestly, this is the first time Kak Fas am introduced to this French name product of beauty. Though lipstick is one of my favourite choice when it comes to cosmetic product, but Bourjois was not in the shopping list. 

Well, thinking about it I do regret not having the opportunity to try Bourjois line up. Anyway, its better late than never and having the chance to try not one but 8 colours of Souffle de Velvet was fun.

Having attended the event, am now aware that Bourjois Rouge Edition Souffle de Velvet is the new sister product to the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipsticks, it’s supposed to be a ‘sheer veil of matte colour’ in contrast to the ‘intense 24hour hold’ colour that is its predecessor.

Looking at 8 of them in a row was quite astonishing though confusing. Why am I confused?

You see, at a glance,their colours look almost alike  and similar. These shades all sit in a coral sort of family with not a huge amount to distinguish between them.  

The similarity makes Kak Fas more confused as to which was which that I have tried. Though they are numbered from 1 to 8 but I really do have to jot down the numbers after trying each of them.

But, colour similarities aside. Trying on this lipstick, one could feel that it  texture have a lightly emollient finish that slides around a bit and makes it look like you are applying a gloss first. But when you re apply it over again they then settle into a matte finish.



So If you're into liquid lipsticks, you may want to  grab some of your favourites as Bourjois has a phenomenal range of wearable  colours to suit all and most of all its so light to wear.

ABSTRAX LAUNCH JOHOR, SELANGOR STATE JERSEY

ABSTRAX announced its newest collection of jersey design, in conjunction with the soft-launch of their new physical store named ABSTRAX Headquarters. 

Following the huge success of the #MASterpiece series, ABSTRAX is now back
to introduce the Vortex #NeverAfraid jersey collection.

With Vortex, ABSTRAX aims that Malaysians be reminded of their roots, and campaigns to

SOGO KL APPRECIATES BUSINESS PARTNER

It was a night of black suits, tuxedos and ‘dress to kill’ for the ladies. Though yours truly was also in a black attire but off course it does not measure to the elegant and sophisticated looks of all the guests that attended KL SOGO’s Business Partners’ Appreciation Banquet 2016 held at the prestigious Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur recently.



Especially when on so call ‘duty cum dinner’ off course yours truly need to dress comfortably so much so its easier to  move when the need arise like taking photos etc. 

Furthermore, we are invited medias so do know our stand right? Haha… we can’t off course ‘dress to kiLl’ like the other invited and distinguished guest else will outshined them hihi….

Anyway, the annual banquet held by the single largest department store in Malaysia, SOGO off course, is to honour all their business partners for achieving outstanding yearly sales performance in conjuction with SOGO’s 22nd Anniversary.


With the theme, “East & West… From Istanbul with Love’ , the dinner  was a four course fine dining  with dishes consisting  of  a scrumptious array of Oriental flavors and Turkish delights.



Bouquet of lovely roses and berries displayed in the middle of the banquet table as well as the velvet sachet containing lovely rose scented potpourri airs  an aromatic soothing smell around the grand ballroom.

The night saw Nicole Lai Chung Fan, the champion of ASTRO Star Quest 2012  making an early  special appearance delivering her rendition of some popular songs with ‘Simply The Best’ specially chosen as a song to appreciate all business partners that attended.

Thereafter, Malaysian host, actress, model and former Miss Universe Malaysia 2003 , Elaine Daly kick off the event by inviting KL SOGO’s Managing Director, Andrew Lim (left) and followed by a congratulatory speech by its guest of honour, Dato' Henry Sum Agong, the Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism, Malaysia..

Then,  came the presentation of awards  given under the following categories to KL SOGO's business partners that had achieved an astonishing sales for the year.

The night continued with a fashion parade by Carven Ong, featuring his latest Turkish Couture Collections followed by spectacular designs by five new young talented designers who took part in the ‘Turkish Avant-Garde’ Fashion Design Contest. They are Eddie Cheow Chee Hong, Andrew Low, Daniel Tseu Shi Jie, Eemon Chiang Sued Meng and another contested which were scouted by Carven Ong himself.
  
Last but not least, the banquet ended on a special tune of Jazz when the Queen of Jazz, singer Dato Sheila Majid took the  stage singing a rendezvous of some of her popular songs like ‘Sinaran’, “Antara Ayer dan Jakarta’ and more to an applause of all.



Thanks to Ikhsan Ismail, the most ‘promising’ PR , the media should call him hahaha…. who was handsomely clad in a black tuxedo, for inviting yours truly with ‘geng’ and hopefully it would not be the first time but another fruitful and glamorous event again next year around… god bless!

KIPLING SUMMER PRE-FALL 2016 ARE AWESOME!

It was a fun day indeed…. 

First you get to watch the latest Kipling Summer Pre-Fll 2016 Collection… then on to the “hoponhopoff” Kipling Summer Bus around the iconic landmarks of cosmopolitan KL city tour along  KL Tower to Petronas Twin Tower – Suria KLCC, passing  Central Market and back to Lepaq Lepaq Café – where Kipling’s event kicked off.

MAGNUM: ADAKAH ANDA 'PINK' ATAU 'BLACK'

Apabila terima undangan untuk hadir di majlis pelancaran ais krim jenama popular, 'Magnum'. Kak Fas pasti tidak menolak untuk hadir sebab Kak Fas ini sebenarnya penggemar ais krim.

Sebut je la apa jenis ais krim, memang Kak Fas suka. Kalau ais krim Magnum, favourite Kak Fas adalah Magnum Classic. Bukan bermakna ais krim flavor lain tu Kak Fas tak suka tetapi selalunya Kak Fas lebih suka yang original.



Terbaharu, Magnum melancarkan Magnum Pink dan Magnum Black. Menariknya, setiap kali Magnum memperkenalkan perasa terbaharunya mesti dilancarkan dalam majlis yang glam dan unik.

Kemudian ada pula  stesen MAKE MY MAGNUM  bagi tetamu yang berminat untuk mencipta sendiri hiasan MAGNUM PINK & BLACK menggunakan topping eksklusif berwarna merah jambu dan hitam. 
Para undangan juga turut berpeluang mengambil gambar mereka di photobooth MAGNUM MOMENT yang menjadi stesen paling mendapat sambutan walau pun 'queue' panjang.

Acara pada petang itu dimulakan dengan ucapan pembukaan oleh Nadia Heng diikuti dengan kata aluan oleh Encik Rakesh Mohan, Pengerusi Unilever Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar & Laos.

Ucapan yang ringkas disambung dengan  persembahan tarian video mapping yang dinamik, memaparkan mood PINK dan BLACK dalam bentuk gerakan, tempo dan pencahayaan khas, sebelum  acara kemuncak  berlangsung .... iaitu pelancaran MAGNUM PINK & MAGNUM BLACK. 

Sewaktu itu, para tamu disajikan dengan kedua-dua ais krim perisa itu. Dan sambil makan, mata dan telinga pula dihiburkan dengan persembahan medley yang mencerminkan elemen-elemen mood warna PINK dan BLACK oleh penggesek biola terkenal Dennis Lau.



Pentas penutup diambil alih oleh persembahan  mantap dari penyanyi sensasi tanah air Ning Baizura. Malam itu Ning nampak jelita sekali  ala cleopatra gayanya.

Mankala, MAGNUM PINK mengetengahkan keenakan perisa Buah Delima Merah Jambu digabung dengan sos Buah Delima. Di bahagian luarnya bersalut Coklat Belgium berona merah jambu.
